Requirements to become a Locum Doctor
Documentation needed to complete Geneva Doctors
registration
In order for Geneva Doctors to adhere to the Buying Solutions
framework agreement, we require the following documents from
you:
1. Curriculum Vitae
Please provide a detailed current CV, which must include the start
and finish dates of every post (including locum posts) you have
undertaken since achieving your medical degree. Any gaps in your
employment history of greater than 3 months must be accounted
for.
2. Contact Details for two current
references
Please provide contact details for at least two referees, one from
each of your most recent engagements of 2 weeks or more from senior
staff (not colleagues). Geneva Doctors will contact your referees
to obtain the references.
3. One Passport-sized Photograph for your Geneva Doctors
identification badge.
If you do not have a photo on hand, we can take one for you at the
Geneva Doctors office.
4. Original GMC Certificate of
Registration.

5. Original Professional Qualification
Certificates.
6. Evidence of any relevant UK recognised Life Support
or Health & Safety Training Completed.
If you do not have any relevant UK recognised Life Support or
Health & Safety Training we can arrange and pay for this for
you*.
7. Proof of Eligibility to Work in the UK
Current UK / EU passport or other passport, including proof of
eligibility to remain and work in the UK. Original documentation is

8. Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)
Disclosures
As part of our service Geneva Doctors can pay for and arrange CRB
checks for you*.
9. Occupational Health
You will be required to complete our Occupational Health
Questionnaire and provide current immunisation certificates /
history. We can arrange and pay for any Occupational Health
Checks that you may require*.
The following up to date serology are required for all Geneva
Doctors Locum Workers:
- Measles
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella (Chicken Pox)
- Evidence of BCG Scar or Mantoux Test
- Hepatitis B Antibodies
- Hepatitis B Surface Antigen, as appropriate
- Hepatitis C, as appropriate
- HIV, as appropriate
Please note that HIV, Hepatitis B Surface Antigen and Hep C
serology must be IVS Verified and taken in the UK within the last
12 months.
